Bio

In his role at the Chadwick Center for Children and Families at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego, Brent Crandal, PhD co-directs the Advancing California’s Trauma-Informed Systems (ACTS) Initiative. His research centers around measurement, trauma-informed care, and system-level change. He has contributed to advisory groups for the National Childhood Traumatic Stress Network, California Department of Social Services, California Department of Health Care Services, and El Salvador Ministry of Education.

As a child and family psychologist, he has offered evidence-based treatments to populations from diverse backgrounds and co-authored the book Modular CBT for Children and Adolescents with Depression: A Clinician’s Guide to Individualized Treatment.
